Vice President, RAC Oracle Developer

Duties and Accountabilities

Markit is in the progress of a large scale restructuring of our database infrastructure, as such we need a team to assist in the development, deployment and maintenance of this framework.

Technical Skills

• Extensive experience of developing with oracle 10i and above.
• Knowledge of developing in oracle RAC environment, ideally of at least three nodes.
• Able to demonstrate a good knowledge of common issues of working with RAC and resolutions of such issues.
• Experience of investigating and resolving database level issues, knowledge of query plans and optimisation would be a benefit.
• Knowledge of unix or linux is highly desirable
• The candidate must has excellent problem solving skills
• Knowledge of full lifecycle processes.
• Experience of svn or cvs will be beneficial.
• The ideal candidate will have an in-depth proven track record within Oracle development.

• Able to work competently on their own or within a team, taking a project through complete lifecycle.
• Be comfortable dealing with senior individuals with a strong client and service orientation.
