Associate, Structured Finance Developer

Role Summary

An exciting new opening has arisen to join Markit's busy and exciting Structured Finance department. In this role you will play a significant part in developing financial software for Markit’s structured finance business. The initial role will be part of a team to rebuild the ratings feeds at Markit.

Duties and Accountabilities

• The successful applicant will be part of Markit’s growing structured finance business and can expect to get involved in a wide range of complex projects in this area

Skills and Experience

• The ideal candidate should have considerable experience developing in java, ideally in a web based environment
• They should also have experience using a major database like Oracle, and have a good understanding of SQL
• Additional skills include C++, JUnit, svn or cvs, experience of working in an Agile development environment
• The ideal candidate would have a mathematical background
• Any knowledge of structured finance, fixed income or credit derivative knowledge would be an advantage
• Experience working in the financial sector would be an advantage
